“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish” (Hebrews 12:1-2). So we must lay aside everything that would hinder our progress in our spiritual race. Let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and the sin which holds on to us so tightly. Many people focus to lose weight, they pledge to lose weight to slim down for a better life. During that process we will face different kinds of temptations that will hinder our plans to lose weight. Suddenly you will see food everywhere; suddenly you will receive an invitation to eat in an irresistible restaurant.

The decision you made will determine your success. The same things happen in the spiritual realm; the apostle Paul refers that sins will hinder our progress. He refers sins as weight that damages our race. When an athlete is in a preparation for his competition, he must be discipline and keep focus on the race in order to obtain the victory. His training must be with dedication and set apart from all things that can hinder his goal and his vision.

When an athlete starts the race with discipline, perseverance, and dedication, he or she will cross the finish line. Let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. The endurance demand patience, resistance, long-suffering, pain, strength, and discipline. When we run without goal, it is like running without directions, but when we focus on Jesus He will direct our path in the right lane. “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night” (Psalms 1-41).

In the natural, we have the tendency to get sidetracked by concentrating on the wrong things; we allow other things to kick us off the track. In the time we are living, it is necessary to remain focused on Jesus. Do not concentrate in the circumstances of life during your race; keep running. When you focus on Jesus, He will made provisions for you to succeed. In order to run with success, we must examine ourselves in these questions: What is it that is hindering your progress? What is it that slows you down spiritually? Get rid of it. It is in your way. Focus in Jesus, and in Him you will find the peace and the way of success.

Blessing Friends.
