The Scriptures teach that God calls persons to a relationship with Himself through salvation. This was Jesus’ mission while on the earth. In Matthew 9:13, Jesus stated that He came to call sinners to repentance. Jesus is the way of our salvation. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him. While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with Him and His disciples.

When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice”.

For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” We all are sinners. God calls all people to salvation because there is a plan for us. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

Salvation has been provided for us by the grace of God. “Who has saved us and called us to a holy life–not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time”(2 Timothy 1:9 NIV). Our calling was before the beginning!

There is nothing impossible for Him. “Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him” (John 14:6). He have a plan for you, He died on the cross for your sins and rose from the grave to give you life.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (John 1:9). “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. Please change my life and forgive all my wrongdoing, and let me live in relationship with You from now on. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I receive You as my personal Savior. Thank You for saving me. Help me Lord to live a live that is pleasing You. Amen.

And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. Praise and glory, wisdom and thanks, Honor and power and strength – Be to our God, forever and ever, AMEN!

And we, the redeemed, shall be strong, in purpose and unity; Declaring aloud: Praise and glory, wisdom and thanks, Honor and power and strength. Revelation 7:10
