Self-Control in the Face of Accusations
“Add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love” (2 Peter 1:5-7).
“He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth” (Isaiah 53:7).
Matthew 24:12 reminds us: “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” We are living in times where lies and hatred seem to dominate, but this too is a lie from Satan. Let us ask God for self-control to handle situations at work, with neighbors, in our families, or in any position we hold.
