This is the day that the LORD has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it,

I hope you are all well and walking in the love of GOD today and every day, as JESUS commanded us to in love. His commands are not burdensome, but give life and they are food for our souls and spirits.

When we obey the LORD and the Father at the same time, JESUS said that it is food. If it was food for Him to do the will of the Father, so it is food for us to do be about the Father’s business.

” I thank GOD that He gives us the ability to realize that which can potentially lead to this taking place, well ahead of time, which He is doing with me now. I am resolving in my life to allow no offense to be taken, no matter how hard the enemy, through another person, is trying to persist, until I were to give into it.

You see, this is the struggle that we face in the flesh, in which we can rely either: on the grace of GOD to enable us to resist, by submitting to the LORD, or we can just let the emotional rush of the flesh cause us to latch onto that offense and thereby fail the test.

The word says to “Submit to GOD, resist the devil and he will flee from you.” It is in our submitted focus unto GOD that we receive the grace to resist the devil, which will cause him to finally give up and flee. Our focus must remain on GOD, though, in the midst of the temptation, and not shift back to the temptation itself.

It is just like trying to resist an urge to overeat. We can either focus on how good all of that food is going to taste, but say no, no, no…….. or we can look to the LORD continuously and submit to Him, with our focus remaining upon Him and His presence, and say yes, yes, yes to Him, where we will find the ability to overcome. “For no temptation has seized you except what is common to all man and GOD is faithful, who will also make a way of escape, that you can stand and bare up under it.”

GOD always makes a way out, in the midst of temptation, but much of the time we do not resist for a long enough time frame in order to see the way of escape that the LORD will provide. He does not always just instantly show us the escape hatch or route.

Sometimes he wants to increase our patient endurance and our long-suffering, and so He waits a little longer than we expect or believe He should, sometimes.

Yet, if we will persist in resisting, by our submitting to Him, and receiving His grace, which will satisfy us in the middle of it, then we will eventually get to the point where it does not matter what the LORD allows to come our way, in terms of temptation. We will be able to overcome no matter what it may be.

There are so many of us that are continually walking around with offense in our hearts, and yet we do not even realize it. Many of us even talk about not taking offense to others, and there are deep roots of it within us.

I want to be candid and transparent with you right now, that I am not immune to offense, obviously. My heart longs to be continually free of this poison, by neither not taking it, nor giving it, but I am not always successful at it.

I have been reminded of this today, within the context of my own life before the LORD, and felt compelled to share this struggle that I believe so many, if not all of us deal with at some point or another.

By just a certain way someone does something or a certain thing said, an offense can so easily arise and wait to grab a hold of and taken deep within. The truth is that it is a masterful plot of the enemy to have us continually taking offense, at even the littlest things.

After a period of time, when the enemy sees that we are so weak in this area that we will succumb to virtually all of it, he knows very well that offense piled on top of offense, over and over again, will produce in us bitterness, which is his main goal. When he has finally developed bitterness within us, then he knows that we will be useful in the work that he wants done throughout the earth.

Bitterness defiles all those who come into contact with it, as the bible says. In Hebrews 12:15 it reads “Looking carefully that no one falls short of the grace of GOD; GOD does not bring the temptation, but He certainly does allow it, just as He even led JESUS into the desert and allowed Him to be tempted in every way, just as we are, yet without ever giving in to sin.

Can you imagine never sinning? That is the most beautiful thought I can think of. I would absolutely love to not sin anymore and have cried out for that in my life, time and time again. I do not think that is impossible to achieve at some point in our walk with the LORD. In fact the word says: “till the day of CHRIST.” (Philippians 1:10)

Please draw from the inexhaustible strength that lies within you, by being in prayer and meditation upon His word. With plenty of prayer and the mixture of the word of GOD, with: worship, thanksgiving and praise and much more, we have the raw materials for every victory over temptation and sin.

Remember that temptation is not sin. Sometimes people feel guilty by just being tempted. The enemy tries to deceive that one into thinking because they had certain thoughts go through their head that it was a sin.

When in reality, none of those thoughts were their own. They were just cleverly inserted into the mind, to make it seem like they were personal. Oh the enemy is most deceitful. Believe that.

Do not mistake being tempted, from sinning. The sin occurs when you or I take an active role in participating with the thoughts that come into our minds, and then even allow them to play out.

We cannot always control what comes into our mind, but we can certainly take that which is not of GOD and immediately surrender it to the LORD within us, which is in essence “taking every thought captive into the obedience of CHRIST.” We can take those thoughts of wanting to just be “so offended at what just took place in such an unjust way” and surrender them to CHRIST, who gave us the charge through Paul, “That you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and HE REALLY IS, BY HIS SPIRIT.

Let’s lay hold of some major victory in this area,
Rhonda
